DENOTATION AN CONNOTATION

Denotation: The advert is saying that they need toilets and not graves.

Connotation: they need water for toilets which they do not have and because they do not have water they cant drink causing people to die.

analysis:This may show that people are dying because of the hygiene and the conditions where they are living which is affecting their health leading to young kids dying at a very young age because of not having water. This will make the viewers of the advert feel sorry for the people living in these conditions with hardly any water leading to them donating to the charity.

Denotation: they are sweets called skittles                                                                                                 Connotations:  they are the original version off the sweets that are in the colour of rainbow                                                                                                 Analysis: the sweets must be really flavourful, this is suggested by the rainbow and the colours on the front of the packet. It might also suggest that they are so delicious and flavourful that its like finding gold at the end of a rainbow.
