CAMERA MOVEMENT AND EDITING

 1) Pick three aspects of camera movement in the Minority Report clip. Identify the type of camera movement and write about why the director chose to use that camera movement in the scene and what effect it has on the audience.

1 - crane: the director may have chose this so he can show all around the character/ setting without keep on cutting.

2 - pan:the director would have chose this to make sure the character is in the centre of the screen.

3 - tilt - when the man is climbing up the building and hitting the police the camera is moving every time one of them is hit like the camera is getting hit.

2) Pick two aspects of editing in the Minority Report clip and write about what effect it has on the audience.

1 - pace: when the main character is running the camera is going the same pace from behind so it becomes more intense.

2 - cut: it cuts alot in this short scene the director may have done this to show the different angles of what is happening and also i noticed that in the first 2 minutes there wasn't as many as towards the end as it started to get more intense.

3) Finally, revise last week's work on camerawork by picking out two shots or camera angles in the clip that communicate meaning to the audience.

1 - when the camera is filming through the metal fence it shows how trapped he is because he is surrounded by police and the metal fence was in front of him

2 -  another scene that interacts with the audience is when the dog jumped up at the fence and it may have jump scared the audience as the dog came out of no where and then it started getting intense as the character then tried to run away and the police was chasing him as he was punching he other ones.+-
